Louise George

Louise is a clinical psychologist with extensive clinical experience obtained both in Australia and the United Kingdom having worked within the field of adolescent and adult mental health, in a variety of general and highly specialist services, including public health, private hospitals, non-government organisations and universities.

 Louise has been working in the area of Eating Disorders for over 20 years and has worked at a number of distinguished university teaching hospitals both in Australia and overseas where she played an active role in the development and delivery of the psychological therapy in their Eating Disorders services as well as conducting training and research in the field of Eating Disorders.

 Louise is a trauma informed therapist committed to providing evidenced based care to her clients and whose practice draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT, CBT-E), schema, psychodynamic, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) models.

 Louise has a strong interest in the area of supervision and training and is an AHPRA board approved supervisor. She has provided clinical supervision and training to individual clinicians and to Eating Disorder services throughout NSW.

 Louise works with adult clients as well as parents and carers

• AHPRA board approved supervisor.
