Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working with adolescents and adults. Sarah specialises in the treatment of eating disorders. She has worked across inpatient, day program and outpatient eating disorder treatment settings including the state-wide adult eating disorder service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital; Wesley Hospital and in a district role as the Eating Disorder Coordinator for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. In recent years, Sarah has worked at the InsideOut Institute for eating disorders and is currently the Lead for the Clinical Stream within this organisation.
Sarah also has extensive experience in the treatment of anxiety, mood, adjustment, self-esteem and chronic illnesses such as chronic fatigue syndrome.
She works predominantly in a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework but uses other treatment approaches where indicated including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT); Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and Schema Therapy. Sarah believes in providing client-centred, evidence-based care. She is compassionate and non-judgemental in her approach and recognises the significant step people take in seeking treatment.
Sarah provides clinical supervision and training to other psychologists. She is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency with clinical endorsement (PSY0001338212). Sarah is also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
